Launching Atavis Development: My Freelance Software Engineering Venture

I’m excited to announce the launch of Atavis Development, my own freelance software development organisation! After years of working on diverse projects and collaborating with teams of all sizes, I’ve decided to bring my experience to businesses and individuals directly, helping them turn their ideas into working applications.

3. Short-Term Reinforcements

If your team needs extra hands on deck to meet deadlines or cover someone on leave, I can step in for a week, a month, or longer. I’m quick to adapt to new codebases and technologies, so you’ll see immediate value.

Technology Specialties

My primary expertise lies in Vue/Nuxt and .NET, but I’m also experienced with React/Next, Node.js, and classic ASP.NET MVC. If your project uses a different stack, I’m happy to learn and adapt as needed. I'm passionate about keeping up to date with the latest technology so that I can provide the best suggestions and solutions for my customers. The current industry standards are somewhat outdated (lots of vanilla React) and could use a fresh touch. Ultimately though, it's up to my customers. I want to build your vision, not mine.

I’m open to both contract and permanent opportunities, depending on what works best for your team. Whether you need ongoing development, short-term reinforcements, or strategic consulting, I can tailor my services to meet your requirements.

Fees

For freelance projects, I typically charge between $70–$90 AUD per hour, depending on the project scope and contract length. I’m transparent about costs and work closely with clients to ensure value and alignment with their goals.
